We spend a lot of time during our waking hours scrubbing, moisturizing, massaging and masking to fight wrinkles and fine lines. And while you might apply an eye cream or serum at night, you could definitely be doing more to maximize all that time spent in slumber. You know why night is the best time to fight wrinkles? Your body goes into repair mode while you’re at rest, making collagen, pumping more blood to the skin and detoxifying. It’s the perfect time to make the most of a nourishing night cream, serum, sleep mask or—our favourite—an anti-wrinkle patch.

Furlesse patches, which we sell in our clinic, are hypoallergenic, self-adhesive stickers that prevent wrinkles from forming while you sleep (or while hanging out at home or driving to work). The patches smooth skin and hold it in place, preventing wrinkles from forming or deepening. They can also prevent fine lines from forming in those of us who sleep on our faces, a habit that can lead to more fine lines than those who sleep on their backs. And there’s a patch for every wrinkle-prone area of your face: Elevens, for those frown lines between your eyebrows; Crows, for crow’s feet on the outside of your eyes; Lip-Sticks for nasolabial folds and upper lip creases and Rows, for horizontal lines on the forehead.

More ways to fight wrinkles while you sleep:

Sleep on your back

Sleeping on your front means that your face is probably smushed into a pillow, creating creases and eventually fine lines. If you can, sleep on your back and save your face.

Upgrade your pillowcase

Invest in a silk or satin pillowcase, which is gentler on skin and hair. The smooth surface causes less friction between your delicate skin and the pillowcase.

Wash your face before bed

Always remove your makeup before turning in. Leftover makeup can clog pores and lead to skin damage.
